Well most bands and artists that stand true and don't sell themselves or edit their videos/song just so they can make more cash generally are great artists and make art not mac donald's like trash. If you judge record sales as how good a band is you're silly. Mac Donald's probably makes more sales of food then any other "restaurant" if you wanna call it that does that make it better then small places that make fine food without 3rd world children as meat and plastic for cheese?

consider this, lnikin parks album sales have dropped significantly with each new release, while each of tools albums outsold the previous one.If linkin park is so great why are they losing fans?? This is a band whos fanbase grows up and (mostly)stops listening to shitty music, end of story...And FYI linkin park has sold 45 million albums to tools 25, and they don't even receive standard radio or video play

Heres the problem with idiots like nyho, they think that album sales is somehow synonymous with a bands talent, if that's the case than vanilla ice is way better than linkin park he sold 21 million copies on one album! But would you say he's better than any artist alive or dead? FUCK NO!!! Just because linkin park sells a ton of ablums (which they don't anymore if you haven't noticed)

i like linkin park and tool and really, besides Maynard's GREAT singing and Danny powning on the drums, tool is nothing compared to Dream Theater. and if i like linkin park and tool and have no musical taste, then since you like tool you must have no musical taste too retard.

hahaha wow.. linkin park? thats just a band popular from all the junior high 14 year olds kids who think they know what music is all about. you dont know shit, you have no music taste. Tool are a real band who make REAl music. Linkin Park is just a popular band because of there HUGE pre teen fan base who have no knowledge of what music is really about. Get a fuckin clue

Ugh.. Tool IS mainstream. Major label. Achieved gold status in '93, platinum in '95. Sold over 20 mil records worldwide. But that only means that in our day and age of club life and electronic music, a lot of people still appreciate good music. ;)

Tool's pretty popular as well. I believe their last three albums all came out at number one. Not that it really matters. But, A LOT of people get tool. If you don't, I'm sorry.
