aw man, this is one of those videos where you can't skip to the good part, because the whole thing is awesome.

Now the funny thing is calling it a work of art, because making a universal definition of art itself is something no one has quite figured out yet.
Art is an intrinsically personal thing. What is beautiful and artistic to one is not to another and so on. To myself, this song is a work of art, and to many people I know, it is simply noise.
The real talent that we are talking about is what I already said - playing the right note at the right time with good technique, which is a true challenge.

practice the necessary amount, especially for a beginner, takes a fair amount of dedication, and nobody is going to do that unless they feel like they are getting something out of it.
For me, it is because I have something of a love affair going on with acoustic instruments. The sound of them played with just the right touch reaches inside me and triggers some kind of response that I can't even describe. This is not to say that I am incredibly good at it, just that I love it passionately.

Playing the right notes at the right time with the right touch is exactly what music is. It's a difficult thing to do properly, it's even harder to maintain mastery over that touch and to maintain that mastery whenever you lay your hands on your instrument marks you as a truly talented person.
That aside, it is about playing with the right touch. I'm going to say that not anyone can play any succession of notes with enough practice. Well, the sticker here is "with enough practice" because to

What I want to know is how he gets his harmonics so clean and crisp, especially about a measure before he strums. They are so beautifully executed it's just unfair, but in a good way. I know I will never be this caliber, but I'll keep playing.I don't think I'll ever get tired of this composition.
