I know these surgeons know exactly what they're doing, and that's amazing because thyroidectomies are so complex since other things in your throat like our esophigous are at risk...

Great video.

I am a thyroid cancer survivor, had a total thyroidectomy followed by three years of radiation (Stage III at age 20, papillary and follicular, it had spread to a lymph node and other areas). I just celebrated my third of being cancer free.

As mentioned before, if there is a "good cancer" this is it. Papillary and Follicular have high cure rates if treated appropriately(97%) and pretty good prognosis. Your best weapon, besides your medical team, is research.
