Hello: Many thanks for the videos. Just found out I have cancer as well. One lump on right side but they are removing the whole thyroid plus front lymph nodes. Didn't know if you had those removed as well. Unfortunately its two days before Thanksgiving. Would you please let me know how tough the first few days after surgery were. Thanks and hope youare doing GREAT!!

You're welcome. I made this video in hopes of helping other people. I was 25 when I got the news about cancer. I'm 26 now so I'm not that far away from it all.

Try and not get too upset with what friends and family say they mean well and are just concerned for you. You are strong...I would go into this Cancer a*s kicking mode and it made me more powerful..you will be afraid that is normal. You are entirely too young to have gone through what you did. I'm sorry that happened to you. However, I am grateful that you posted your experiences for the benefit of those who may be looking for information about thyroid surgery, which may ultimately include me.My test is scheduled for next week... the test where you take the radiated iodine pill and then have a scan the next day. I have a lump that seems to be growing, so it doesn't look good. The ultrasound showed multi-nodules.
