1999 - Daytime Emmy Awards - Susan Lucci
By special request: Susan Lucci finally wins the Emmy after 19 nominations. Her acceptance speech is quite long and credit goes to the awards people for not cutting her off.

Thanks for posting this. Susan Lucci is a wonderful person and a great daytime actress. She deserves all the success she gets - there is not another daytime actress who works as hard. She has been on AMC since 1970. Bravo Susan!

I don't really watch the daytime emmy's....but has a crowd ever erupted into applause like that?...I mean even the other actors were going crazy...I've never seen anything like that since.Side note: Susan is clutching that statue like they are about to take it away from her...lol... AND WHAT A SPEECH!!!...She managed to thank all the technical people and her family so eloquently. I guess after 19 years..one would have tailered a masterful acceptance speech.

I loved this. I also love the fact that Susan's husband,Helmut Huber, loves her the way he does. You can see it in his face and eyes every time they show him.I saw it then and lately on DWTS... she is truly blessed to have a husband who loves her as much as he does.

Hell, Susan Lucci is the MOST famous soap actor ever! How anyone can deny that is crazy. She deserved it, I mean 8 times without a win is screwed up but she had 18 times without a win! That is just crappy! I never seen one episode of her show, and I been knowing she was, since I was a child!!!!! Everyone in the Soap World/Daytime World and the World over were SO HAPPY FOR HER!

Mon Dieu! What an absolutely STUNNING woman&beautiful moment. There could be know doubt that Suan deserved this. When u r nomintated 19 times 4 an award&never actually get it, u have basically won it, u just don't have the testimonial (think Wizard of Oz) - That said, remember that the "judges" r the members of the academy, which are professionals in the field, including actors, directors&producers that vote based on tapes sent in by nominees - then it's a matter of who gets most votes...
