Something about doctors taking my cells to clone them to kill my bad cells scares the crap out of me. It's all great but like it's still in the experimental stage from what I gather and who knows what effects it could have on our bodies ten or twenty years down the line. Granted getting cancer every year isn't the greatest but the treatments they have now works fine for me. And I get checked like every month so all they gotta do when they find one is cut it out.

Cancer Research Center in Seattle are in to something for curing melanoma. They take your T-cells and clone them to a massive army of T-cells who will recognice the uncontrolled growth in the melanocytes. The Research Center says they only need to streamline the process. Whatever they mean with that I dont know.Check it out. It may be something for you (and me too).Dr Cassain Yee is the research leader.

I just got finished with my second bout with melanoma and I'm only 20. This time it didn't spread before I caught it. Thank god! Last time it had just begin to spread to my nodes so I had to go on infearon. I'm getting the sense this is gonna be a constant struggle. Just wish I would have known when I was younger to stay out of the sun.

Not so far. I go to specialist each month to check up on changes. I follow a herb program and some homeopathic remedies (and keep away from to much sunlight), which seems to work good.

I know exactly what you mean. Having had vulval cancer which was a devastating blow to me as I had never been told about this cancer type. I was constantly misdiagnosed which led to me having to have extremely radical surgery, hence my awareness campaign and support group. Yet, after nearly 7 years of trying to raise awareness of a genital cancer it still brings a huge social stigma with it. The silence on the genital cancers needs breaking.

you are a beautiful doctor

I was watching a video of a man who had to have his genitals removed because of cancer. I know it is different but it is an area where you don't want to see cancer.
