It's a really bleeping scary ad that has given me, a late-30s male and generally healthy hypochondriac, a whole new thing to freak out and repeatedly call my doctor about. I know the point is to get doctor-avoidant guys to go get checkups, but damn. I'm psychological collateral damage over here.

The sole purpose of this commercial seems to be to scare you about the lethal nature of pancreatic cancer. It certainly grabbed my attention. Effective, i'd say.

My mom died of pancreatic cancer very recently. This ad conveys the doom of PC very well. If it did more to grab your attention in the beginning you might actually 'get' what it's about in time to pay attention to the end of the ad....where you find out about research funding...which is sorely needed. I don't know what exact changes I would make, but this ad isn't doing what it is supposed to do.

my mother died of pancreatic cancer 2 months ago. while i thank cablevision for teaming up with the lustgarten foundation and advocating for the fight against pc i find the add just a little too creepy and ineffective in really raising awareness. it is too dark and hard to follow.
