Remembering Mom and the Last Beautiful Day


One perfectly beautiful late summer day my Mom and I took a walk just as we often did. For some reason on that day I decided to take a camera. Why I decided to I am not sure. Maybe because the day was so beautiful and I thought it would be nice to take some photos. For it was the type of day where you could easily be fooled into thinking nothing horrible could ever happen. Two weeks later my Mom was terribly ill and days later we would find out that she was suffering from terminal pancreatic cancer. For the next three months the days that followed were less than beautiful and I would forget about the photos I took that day. Shortly after my Mom lost the battle against cancer I stumbled upon that camera and those photos. I put together this little video using the photos from that last beautiful day. No day since has been as beautiful as that last beautiful day when my Mom and I went for a walk.
