I have had 2 tumours removed, a hysterectomy and colostomy and live with an inoperable third I'm still here and intend to be for as long as I can. I spread the word as much as I can. I can't go on sponsored walks but I can help in other ways. I've contributed to The Eve Appeal fundraising video and I've donated blood to Prof Jacobs research at University College Hospital. I refuse to let it have me until I'm ready which should be when I'm about 90.

Excellent video. We have sent this video to men and women so they may recognise symptoms in themselves or their loved ones. We have just lost a dearly loved family member to this dreadful disease - Sue Hall, who lost her battle on 20/09/07. Pass this message on and please give to this charity so they can carry on their research and save lives.

Great video! Speaking of fundraising, have you seen True Raffles dot com? Cool site with some raffles.

More work is needed to ensure all GPs recognize the symptoms. Many ovarian cancer sufferers say they found their GP's were reluctant to suspect they had the disease. So I agree with woodjo6676 provided we add all GPs should wath the film as well.

There is a desperate need to train GPs to be aware and not dismissive of the early symptoms. My experience and that of others currently being treated for Ovarian cancer bears this out. Patients presenting with classic symptoms are rarely suspected of having ovarian cancer and often have to make many visits to their GP before receiving a referal.
