Ovarian Cancer: Sharon Blynn's Story


When Sharon Blynn was first diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer, her first thought- "It's Ovarian Cancer. I'm going to die." From there she went right into survivor mode. Her fight against Ovarian Cancer was a long one. Her treatment for Ovarian Cancer included surgery and chemotherapy. And just when she thought she was free from Ovarian Cancer, she would get the news. Ovarian Cancer was back. Today, Sharon's Ovarian Cancer has been in remission for 5 years.She credits her Ovarian Cancer journey with giving her a new purpose in life and "a new level of joy." Because of Ovarian Cancer, Sharon founded the organization "Bald is Beautiful" which is dedicated to helping women with Ovarian Cancer and other kinds of cancer feel beautiful while they're fighting Cancer. I'm 27 with ovarian too! How'd you get to keep your eyebrows? Mine were gone by the third chemo. I'd love to know the secret. Bald is beautiful!
