Saliva from cancer patients and healthy donors was tested using a slightly modified RECAF chemiluminescence assay.A variety of malignancies were tested, including lung, breast and gastrointestinal cancers. The results showed that the test can detect cancer with 87% sensitivity and 91% specificity (sensitivity is the percentage of cancer patients that are positive with the test and specificity is the percentage of healthy individuals that the test reports as negative).

I thought it was ironic that in "In Praise of Pip" he makes a statement criticizing tobacco, something to the effect of "the smoke bothers me". I wonder if "The Twilight Zone" was estranged from the tobacco sponsors that year. They were usually a major sponsor. (Another anti-tobacco statement was made in "The Big Tall Wish" by the boxer)

OMG I love Jack have done for years, and this really brought home to me how close he was to dying. I quit smoking 4 months ago, and now if I get tempted, I will listen to my hero wheezing words out and never want one again. god bless Jack x

That voice was heard on a Biography episode of Twilight Zone creator Rod Serling: Submitted For Your Approval. He appeared in "Passage for Trumpet" and "In Praise Of Pip" in which he played a down and out characters.

He is one very lucky actor. Everybody (smoking or non) should be checked. (P.S. He's the only juror from 12 Angry men that is still alive today)
