family pride clearly you have not seen the info in english clearly on the dignias website it is a none for profit oranisation and actually they do help the poor people to die in dignity actually thare has situations where people go to dignias to die on paying only the membership fee witch is 86 pounds and only other costs of the doctor and the assistant to gives the drug which comes roughly£1000 so they do help with costs actually

vincent, I have liver cirrhosis and I live in pain and with problems every single day of my life and YET I CHOOSE to continue to hold a positive outlook, even if my situation becomes bleak. I continue to hold out hope. I feel sorry for these people that they are in pain and they are afraid of the pain, but the option they took is murder. When you kill an innocent suffering person, that's not being compassionate. Its murder. End point.

You clearly fail to understand that once the options to die are legalized then huge numbers will be queuing to die: anyone with pain (that is a lot of people).

Should starving people be given lethal drugs? They are near death and in pain. World hunger could be stopped by just providing a death with dignity option.

If "death by order" is made legal then widespread death will follow. There is just too much pain in life.

The work of Dignitas is evil and the Devil's.

" There is nothing more personal or that should be under your personal decision than the decision when to die"..WHy is it that Dignitas is the only organisation, practically in all of Europe to assist and take on the responsibility of helping those beyond hope the chance to exit peacefully...Religious bigotry, and avoidance of responsibility by politicians is a the heart of it ..hope they die in absolute agony over 2o yrs..bastards

I also am aware it is an emotive issue in Switzerland, but feel "Death Tourism" is just another name given by the No campaign. Death is not the first thing that comes to mind when Switzerland is mentioned. I believe that would be chocolate, cow bells, skiing, mountains, lakes, swiss francs, chalets, cheese, banking system, watches, neutrality!!!

...which, as many things in Switzerland are, quite extortionate.I presume these include doctors&counsellors consultancy fees, nurses, location rental, heating, lighting, solicitors, undertakers, administration, etc. etc., I'm sure the list goes on. Everything is done legally and above board, Dignitas cannot, nor its caring representatives, be seen to profit from the helpful service they provide.

Obviously you haven't done your research; Dignitas do not rip people off. They only take enough money from the person to cover the costs involved.
