I thik this video is of a Voodoo tradition. According to legend, someone can appease the Loa Baron Samedi, to reanimate the body of another person. I'm not so sure that the "person" is back from the afterlife, just their body. They are a bit like a zombie. The person who conjured the body back to life can control it, serving as the zombie's "master". If the master is killed, the body dies again.
