LUNG CANCER TOOK MY MOM
My mother, Carol Young, was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 12, 1951 and passed away on November 4, 2007 from complications of lung cancer. I promised my mother way before she passed that I would help start a fund raiser to raise awareness/support of Lung cancer&research for it. This video is the first step towards that, as it is my way of remembering a woman who was so courageous and strong. She found until her very last breath and will always be loved and remembered in our hearts. She was a loving wife, mother of 4, and grandmother of 10.

What a great tribute to your mom. I am sorry that she passed away from lung cancer. My dad passed away on May 20, 2008 from lung cancer at age 61. He fought his battle for exactly one year and it was terrible to watch how quickly it took him and how much he suffered. I hope you are doing okay. There is a Lung Cancer Awareness PSA on You Tube...hopefully people will get the picture and stop putting a stigma on lung cancer patients and start spending money for research!

Thank you very much. My mother was one of the most couragous women I'll ever come to know in my life.

Thank you so much, for your condolences. I extend my condolences to your family as well. Losing my mother was the one thing that I would never happen. Although we knew it was coming. She was actually in remission for a 1yr and 1/2 before being diagnosed again in Dec '06 a week after my grandmother passed. I currently started a fund raiser to continue my mother's memory and also to support others out there fighting this particular disease. There is not enough awareness and support.

A beautiful tribute to your beautiful Mom. My heart is sad for you and your family; my mother died on Nov. 1st 2007 of lung cancer. It has been a very rough few months. I still cannot believe she is gone. We played a song at her service which has given me a lot of comfort recently, it's Warren Zevon's :Keep Me in Your Heart For Awhile". Try a search here for it, maybe it will help you as well. I just wanted to say that others are going through it too, may God Bless you and your family.

What a nice sweet thing to do. I had a friend who died through cancer.
