Dr. Donald Tashkin Marijuana Lung Cancer Study Pt 1 of 2
Pulmonary specialist and Federal Government researcher from UCLA Geffen School of Medicine finds that marijuana does not cause lung cancer in his study on the effects of cannabis and the lungs. Results of this study are discussed for the first time. If you agree that cannabis should be legal, write a letter to your congressperson and tell them to legalize it!

how is maryjane a drug let me guess its a drug cause it gets you high so does salvia but thts not called a drug

If you call an herb a drug, then you must also include every other herb in that category, which makes the label meaningless at best. THC is a chemical which is found in cannabis but it is not a drug unless someone distills it and then calls it a drug, and I understand there are large drug companies working on doing just that. The key point to remember is that the prohibition on cannabis is POLITICAL and not based on any science.

Good to see a good scientific study concerning this and not the usual propaganda.

Exactly.
Admitting cannabis is a drug is okay you know? Because THC is a drug.

thc is a drug, but it's not as toxic caffene or alcohol.
aolthof007 (June 29, 2008 at 10:37 pm)
That's correct, cannabis is a plant. Drugs are made, such as merinol or tylenol. Pot is grown and natural which is a reason why it is tolerated so well by the body.
passiveMenis (June 29, 2008 at 7:40 pm)
that's not the point. I'm not comparing their effects on the body and mind. He said cannabis wasn't a drug because it's a plant.
