R.I.P. My LoverBoy - Feline Leukemia Virus flv Cat Kitten
This is my Cat LoverBoy who had to be put to sleep due to complications of feline leukemia. The Big cat is his buddy Moe, from the fist day that I got loverboy (aka, Za, ZaZu, zazuzayzum)
he was a bold and brave kitten he always thought he could beat big moe up, and every chance he would get he would playfully challenge Big Moe, and it would always make me laugh and I would grab the camera.
Loverboy was given to me as a small kitten on Mothers day 2005, and I instantly feel in love with him the first day because he was fearless, funny, clumsy and brave and everytime I use to hold him in a comfortable way he would fall asleep and snore.
Everyday I use to always hold him and kisshim up, and say to him "You're my only lover in my whole wide world."
I never knew loverboy had feline leukemia until he got really really ill in early 10-06, he started having trouble breathing and his appetite changed dramatically (he was a cat that would want to eat all day if I let him and he would eat like there was no tomorrow and always beat me to the kitchen anytime he saw me headed towards it).
When I took him to the vet 10-21-06 it was then that I learned he was flv+ feline leukemia virus and from that day he went downhill he stop eating didnt drink water, all he did was sleep by my foot or on my bed.
When I took him to the pet hospital I found out he had fluid in his lungs and his breathing continued being labored, they drain the fluids but it returned and his breathing got worse.
It was 11-14-06 when I had to depart with my LoverBoy, and what makes it extremely sad is that I wasnt even there, I was at work when I got the call from the vet Hosp that his breathing took a turn for the worse and he was suffering, It was then that is was decided to euthanise him. I Broke down and cried at work because I couldnt be there with him and I felt that he was wondering wherewas I, I felt that he was afraid without my familar face to comfort him. But sometimes I wonder maybe it was for the better that I didnt see him being but down because it probably would have destroyed me even more.
I learned a valuable lesson from all this and it is to get your pets tested and keepup with all of their shots.
I dont want this to sound bad or anything so please dont take it the wrong way, But I do not ever want another sick cat for as long as I live, because this experience was to Painful and shocking to me, I cried hard for many days and sometimes I still do now. I dont everwant to go through that experience again.
Rest in Peace My LoverBoy, We all Miss You even Moe. I will always miss you and I will never forget you.

Don't worry your cat will always love you even if he's no longer here. He will always know that it was you who cared for him. :)

I favorited this video because your cat was so cute and beautiful. I have a cat that looks similar to yours, her name is Miracles. I named her that because I found her in my building back in 2003 (some idiot threw her out) so I took her in. She must have been 3 years old back then, and now she's 8. But its so sad what happened to your cat. I've been taking my cat to the vet every year since I took her into my home.

I have had several cats that died from FLV over my lifetime. Vaccination is not always perfect as three of the cats came from parents with a complete history of vaccinations against FLV and I made sure they were after I got them. Do not feel bad about not vaccinating him and think only of the joy he brought into your life. I remember the joy more than the pain and it's clear Loverboy brought you much joy. Thank you so very much for sharing him with us...he was very beautiful.

Your video almost gave me a heart attack, my kitten was put down yesterday for the same reason. I don't want to live without her. She would've turned 1 one the 30th this month. )=
