This video demonstrates the anatomical vignettes of the modified radical neck dissection performed in conjunction with an extended supraglottic laryngectomy. The patient had a SCCA of the vallecula extending into the supraglottic larynx.

did it along with 7 weeks of chemo and radition after 3 mths i still got a lump going up to get a bio done in 5 days i agree should be shown in schools my life is a living hell now from 70000 a year to 12000 on disabilty just for enjoyment of smoking

Thanks for the video, I quit smoking seven weeks
ago and was looking for stuff to keep me reminded why I quit in the first place. the fact that you can lose you voice forever scares me, unless they could duplicate your voice, instead of some bizarre robotic voice

Hey a pair of weeks ago I was on the subway and I saw an old man who had a scar running up from his throat all the way to his ear, and part of his ear was scarred. Now I wonder if he was in some accident and got his throat torn open or if it was a scar from cancer surgery.

He husband had a TOTAL Laryngectomy. It saved his life but he lost his voice.
