Huge GIST Small Bowel Tumor


A 50 years old male presented with abdominal distension and vague abdominal pain. Was found to have a huge GIST tumor at about 50 cm from the DJ junction, firmly attached to the bowel wall, but no obstruction. The tumor was resected with segmental resection of the adjacent small bowel and primary anastomosis. The tumor was ~ 30x30 cm and 6 kg. The patient had a smooth recovery.
