09/28/07 Endoscopy Results


Next Up:PET Scan Wednesday, October 3. This will show any cancer remaining anywhere in my body.

Chemo Dr. Appointment Monday, October 8. This is to discuss results of PET Scan and Biopsy results from the Endoscopy.

G.I. Dr. Appointment Wednesday, October 10. We will discuss the state of my esophagus during this appointment.

Not from endoscopy, and I've had 3 during the past few months. I did suffer pain towards the end of my esophagus radiation treatments, enough pain that I had to feed myself through a feeding tube for a few weeks.

I never asked, but I know they will not put you under if you don't have a driver lined up to take you back home.

No, they put you in 'twilight' during the procedure. They hook you up intravenously. You will wake up in the recovery area with no memory of what just took place. There is no discomfort when you wake up. Have someone drive you back home.

I am having an Upper Gi Endoscopy done this upcoming week. Any reason to be nervous about the procedure?
