Although the HPV virus is prevalent, it is estimated that only 1% of those infected with HPV will eventually get cervical cancer. However, Merck's aggressively promoted HPV vaccine has already been implicated in 11 deaths since its approval last year.

As of August 2007, a review of the National Vaccine Information Centre revealed the following, quite alarming, statistic about this unnecessary vaccine: 2,207 adverse reactions to Gardasil have been reported. Among them:

* 5 girls died
* 31 were considered life-threatening
* 1,385 required a visit to the emergency room
* 451 of the girls have not recovered as of July 2007
* 51 of the girls were disabled

This vaccine is also the most expensive vaccine on the market, so you can follow the money trail to find out why Merck is now trying to push this cervical cancer vaccine on boys!

when a new pill comes out i always wait for about a year for the lawyer comercials to start. with gardisil i thought why is it marketed to young wemon rather than ALL wemon? I figured, paranoidadly, that it msut effect somethign int he body that can only be effect during puberty. I figured that was some kind of manipulation i did not trust. well even if my deluded thoughts where false, they precented a true insight about something not right with that drug. my daughter will go through untainted.

Mothers listen - I have HPV. My smear was very suspect a few years ago.I made sure I cut all PARABENS out of my products, and ate very healthy foods, much of it organic.The Dr wanted to do loop biopsys, but I said no.They pestered and tried to intimidate me to have this.I said NO. After about 6mths, with NO PARABENS, my smear test was COMPLETELY NORMAL! PARABENS are sythetic oestrogens.They cause cancerous changes in cells.Don't use them. Don't let your kids use them.

By August 14 2008, Judicial Watch, a non-profit interest group which has monitored the vaccine's progress since it was released. reported "21 deaths and 9749 adverse reactions, including 78 outbreaks of genital warts and 10 miscarriages".

27 days when the first symptoms appeared...that is a red flag to me. The average cycle for a woman is 28 days. The hormonal changes in this young girl's body probably triggered these symptoms. I hope she is able to return to good health, but this is terrifying. If this vaccine was mandated in my state, my heels would dig in even further. New to the market and incredibly expensive ...Follow the money!

The four strains covered are the four most common causes! Gardasil has always maintained that the vaccine is against the four HPV strains, decreasing the RISK of cervical cancer, NOT a cure! How can you complain about being mis lead if you don't bother finding out the information for yourself????

Anyway, Adacel is the vaccine against Tetanus, Diptheria and Pertussis. Tetanus is contracted via dirty wounds - it is an anaerobic bacteria, so it grows in nice closed off spaces (puncture wounds). It is quite rare in the US, and thorough, immediate wound cleansing can almost eliminate your chances of contracting it.
Varicella is an immunization against Chickenpox, a common childhood disease that is very rarely fatal.

Hard to say whatthe "long term" effects are since they haven't been out long enought to have long term studies backing them up. Another issue is the lack of a proper control group consisiting of unvaccinated people. We are all so thoproughly vaccinated that it is almost impossible to get a large enough cohort of people who have never had a vaccine to see what happens to the people who get them!

I wonder what the long range side effects of these are?
