Cervical Cancer Prevention in Thailand


Project HOPE's Cervical Cancer Prevention program in Thailand began in December 2001, with the goal of raising awareness about cervical cancer among rural women. Before this program began, the Pap smear screening rate within the project area was less than 3%. It is now 42%. Most importantly, through the interventions of this program, approximately 300 women's lives have been saved.
