Akshay, Deepika flag off Cancer awareness drive


Spreading awareness about cancer among women is a cause I strongly believe in. One can never give enough support to help acknowledge such a powerful disease. I will always do my best to spread as much awareness about it, said Akshay Kumar, who was present at the 2nd Edition of The Lavasa Womens Drive at the Bandra Reclamation Grounds on Sunday morning.He, along with his Housefull co-star Deepika Padukone, had come to flag off the cars as they started their journey from Mumbai to Lavasa.

Also present to wish the ladies all the best and cheer them on while supporting the cause were a Housefull audience comprising a number of celebrities as well.Devieka Bhojwani, Tisca Chopra, Dipannita Sharma, mother-daughter duo of Ila and Ishitaa Arun, Adhuna Akhtar, Raageshwari and a host of men including Rahul Bose, Dino Morea, Mannish Goel, Pushtie, Hiten Tejwani, Rahul Roy and Luke Kenny were present. Konkanna Bakshee, Miss India 2009 East winner, was among the participants as was Gul Panag who was navigating her cousin Simran.
