That professor is a lying craven. But, you can't blame him either because they want these kind of people to take the fall. If the brain orders the hand/leg to commit a crime, who is at fault? Of course, the brain can't be seen. I bet the people who make the decisions on what is safe or what isn't, don't even bother following their own decisions because they know it's toxic.
