12 Days: Bringing Joy to ill Children
A repost of a video I made more than a year and a half ago. FEATURED on LiveVideo! This is a program I began a number of years ago. I myself was battling what I was told were terminal illnesses, one affecting my bone marrow, and the other affecting my kidneys. I came to understand what a frightening experience it is to face this kind of illness, and how much harder it must be for children. I took control by researching what was happening to me, but most children don't have the educational and life experience background to understand and make connections the way an adult does.
so... I thought I'd do what I could to bring a little childhood to them, hopefully giving thema little joy. Helping to maintain a positive state of mind can at times be as strong of medicine as the doctors give, so why not help give that kind of medicine... it's something we all can do.
I am now healthy. My only residual effects are some vitiligo (a pigment disorder- far from threatening)and hypothyroidism (easily treated).
Music is by "Doctor J," a very talented acoustic guitarist and physician, and a good friend to me and my family.

Good video, well presented. The reality is there is a lot of illness issues and even on youtube you only get a few glimpses. This world is very corrupt and fragile, I am glad you made this video and hope you get some good responses.

It's not a mission... it's just knowing how others feel, and trying to make things a little better. Thank you for your comments, and for watching.

Well I think that the mission you are on is a wonderful priceless one...children are such a passion of mine as are the elderly. You are a beautiful person and that heart of gold shines through in your obvious passion of yours.
