You bring up a good point. Takes millions of dollars and 10 - 15 years to develop cures and drugs, taking a gamble on if it will sell, if the FDA will reject it, etc. That could influence them to think about money more than the well-being of the patient
I think half of what you say is true. I think some modern day healers want to cure us for good in whatever diseases we have, and some want to keep us on a constant leash of dependency to certain treatments so they can make a consistent profit.

My grandma has been telling that to me for years. She even told me that theres been a cure for cancer since the 60's or something. But I don't no maybe she was smokin crack. lol
