Katie's Dash - In Loving Memory of Katie Metz
Katie Metz passed away on November 23, 2007 as a result of an inoperable brainstem tumor known as a Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma. She was 13 years old and this is her story.DIPG has no cure and most children die within one year of diagnosis. This debilitating, heart wrenching disease slowly robs children of their motor functions resulting in partial paralysis, loss of voice, sight, hearing and finally an inability to eat and breathe. Please donate to DIPG causes and help us to find a cure.

Katie was beautiful, and clearly has a very loving family. Your tribute was emotional and touching. Her "Dash" was way too short, but what great memories you have of her. Cherish those always. God Bless all of you.
