Fred A. Baughman Jr., MD has been an adult&child neurologist, in private practice, for 35 years. Making "disease" (real diseases--epilepsy, brain tumor, multiple sclerosis, etc.) or "no disease" (emotional, psychological, psychiatric) diagnoses daily, he has discovered and described real, bona fide diseases.It is this particular medical and scientific background that has led him to view the "epidemic" of one particular "disease"--Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)--with increasing alarm. Referring to psychiatry, he says:"They made a list of the most common symptoms of emotional discomfiture of children; those which bother teachers and parents most, and in a stroke that could not be more devoid of science or Hippocratic motive--termed them a 'disease.' Twenty five years of research, not deserving of the term 'research.,' has failed to validate ADD/ADHD as a disease. Tragically--the "epidemic" having grown from 500 thousand in 1985 to between 5 and 7 million today--this remains the state of the 'science' of ADHD."In addition to scientific articles that have appeared in leading national and international medical journals, Dr. Baughman has testified for victimized parents and children in ADHD/Ritalin legal cases, writes for the print media and appears on talk radio shows, always making the point that ADHD is fraudulent--a creation of the psychiatric-pharmaceutical cartel, without which they would have nothing to prescribe their dangerous, addictive, Schedule II, stimulants for--namely, Ritalin (methylphenindate), Dexedrine (dextro-amphetamine), Adderall (mixed dextro- and levo-amphetamine) and, Gradumet, and Desoxyn (both of which are methamphetamine, 'speed,' 'ice').The entire country, including all 5-7 million with the ADHD diagnosis today, have been deceived and victimized; deprived of their informed consent rights and drugged--for profit! It is for that reason the hunter ADD types are considered disordered.

ADD brains cannot shut out outside stimulation so easily.They must have genuine interest for the subject at hand.Nature made them that way just as one can literally see the same parallels in nature with other species.

Ants march into the oncoming feet of enormous animals and *won't* stop.They operate as a whole.(lone)Tigers know enough to avoid an elephants path.They are alert to the surrounding always like ADDers are.

To me farmers are prefer the 9-5.They rely on the pulse of the crowd when it comes to making decisions.They settle into niches like religion,traditional thinking and ideology (many "liberals" are also farmer types too,not just conservatives)

"Hunters" would be people who draw away from routine,authority,conventionality.They rubber neck allot(really,we do),they're inmates,inventors,artists,self made businessmen.

The farmer world is in contradiction to the hunter's nature.

Bingo.I have thought that myself for awhile now.The modern world is too skewed in favor of the "farmer".I think a correction is coming.I also think that this correction will favor "hunter" types wholesale.Climate will effect selective pressures for altruism and intelligence too I think.

I believe that although we are born with a set of genes, people are also moral agents. We can't choose our genes but we can choose our actions. The reductionist view that people are nothing more than a sum of our parts/genes and therefore have little or no choices is dehumanizing: "I killed him because my genes made me do it. I can't control it. It's in my genes." We are more than our physical selves, we are moral agents who in varying degrees are capable of choosing from a number of choices.

I moved to an area of farmer types. They tend to value passivity and introversion. This may have inabled them to survive the solitude and isolation of rural life and accept the inability to have any influence on their environment or the weather. "The crop failed, OK, just accept it and try again. We have to wait around and passively hope the weather, disease or insects won't destroy the harvest." The locus of control is external. Technology developed by pro-active others helped improve crops.

I wasn't being hostile, I was mocking the intolerance of those who label anyone different from them as sick. I don't think you are sick, silly rabbit. I think you're very analytical and insightful. I agree there are different personality types that tend to choose one survival strategy over another which aids in survival in different settings. The diversity in personality types also aids in survival. Suppressing on type over another could limit the capacity of the species to survive as a whole.

We're ALL part of the same existence,universe,...the laws of nature do not bend to whatever human freewill is.Human "freewill" is *part* of the same natural world.

In other words we are born with a set of genes that affect EVERY aspect of our existence from eye color to personality traits.(the brain IS an organ whose traits are pre-determined by our genes).

This is youtube,I don't have tons of space or time either.Seek answers yourself outside the box of conventional thinking.

I've never seen evidence that any gene determines symptoms of ADHD/ADD or that people diagnosed with ADHD/ADD have been found to have this gene in higher numbers than the general population. If this were true, it's front page news. Please show me where you found this info.There are differences in personality types. Labeling one personality type as "normal" and another as "disordered" is nothing more than personal bias, not medicine or science. You're not like me, so you're sick? Intolerance.

One gene associated with "ADD/ADHD" is positively selected for(in mating),meaning it cannot be classified as a disorder.The root of this "disorder" has not even been positively identified!

The flat world society wants us to think there is a need to administer people with *artificial drugs* now.

What we see to today is a majority possessing the "farmer" gene declaring the individualistic "hunter" types" as disordered based on THEIR norm.One survival strategy is being pressured by another.
