Goodbye Dr. Greene
Anthony Edwards leaves the series ER. I edited the sequence of the series. His death in Hawaii, the from the previous episode where the hospital gets the letter of Mark's death, then the funerals.

Have always heard about Mark Greene's death on the show but never have seen the episode. I came across it recently and have to admit it is pretty sad and the song Over the Rainbow makes it sadder somehow. Though I haven't watched the show regularly since about season three or four, I have to say Mark's death was the end of an era for ER. The original "founding" members of the show will always be the best in my opinion, none of those johnny-come-latelies of the later seasons.

god I will never forget watching this in 2002, one of the greatest and saddest moments in television

My sister also died of a brain tumor around the airing of this episode. Still hard to watch this.

This episode was so hard for me because my sister also died from a brain tumor around the same time. It brings back all those memories of spending the last year of her life with her and when she finally succumbed. This song is actually so special to me and I will have it played at my funeral.

What Greene said there about generosity is one of the most inspiring things I've ever heard. What more is there to life than sharing your time, love and life?

Dr. Greene was one of my favorite characters on ER. When ever I see this episode, I cry. Hard. No other show or scene in a movie can make me cry other than titanic.

One of the best yet saddest episodes.

That episode makes me cry EVERY time. The ending is so beautiful though, with Rachel releasing the balloon for Dr. Greene. I really felt like I lost someone when I watched these two episodes. ER was never the same again.

I haven't watched ER in years but I am taping it tonight, because I heard Dr. Greene will be back in a flashback. I am so glad they had Carter read his letter. I cried so hard when he died...and you knew ER would suck without him.
