Clay Aiken as an amazing voice. And so what if he is gay? I love his singing, he has such a powerful voice.

He was not crowned the American Idol, but from what I have seen and read, he was more successful that Rueben(sp?). Perhaps, Clay is one of the most successful singers who has emerged from American Idol, other than Kelly Clarkson but I am not a huge fan of hers. Some songs I like, others I didn't. That's just my opinion.

I love this version but at the same time Clay doesn't really capture the right emotion of the song..Its more about empathy and reflection rather than showing off how high someone can sing and adding an uptempo beat.
If he varied his voice a little more in volume and depth, added a little more sorrow/empathy, and if he would have not added in those extra runs (bouncing between notes when not neccessary) it would have a flawless performance. Good job though...GREAT vocals

AMAZING CLAY!! YOU"RE THE BEST!!Anyone notice at 2:12 Randy is shaking his head and wondering "where is that voice coming from?", a comment he made many times while judging Clay during AI2.

Holy fuck he has a voice! Still prefer the Simon/Garfunkel version, but it's silly to deny that Clay can sing--and belt!
